Rubber will be burning on the track this weekend as the Swift Current Drag Racing season kicks off.
Al Kaufman, secretary with the Swift Current Drag Racing Association provides details on this weekends races.
"The gates open at 8. Car and driver for the classes of sportsman, pro and super pro is $80. Junior, junior street and a new class we have a high school class for car and driver its $40. Pit crew and spectators that want to come and watch $10 and 12 and under are free."
Races will take place at the Swift Current Airport and will feature as much racing as those attending can handle as well as concessions on site.
Kaufman details this racing season.
"We have three sets of races happening this year. May 27th-28th, June 24th-25th and September 9th-10th. If needed we will also have a rain out date of September 30 - October 1st."
