The Swift Current City RCMP have released more details in connection to the May 31 police presence including recovering a loaded gun and a significant amount of illegal drugs.

An RCMP release Tuesday afternoon stated the search warrant on the 200 block of 7th Avenue Northwest turned up around 500 grams of suspected cocaine (pending analysis), a prohibited firearm magazine, a loaded restricted firearm, and firearm parts.

Swift Current's Taylor Weiss-Linder was arrested on June 2 as a part of the ongoing investigation and faces five charges.

The 27-year-old male was charged with; one count of possession of a restricted firearm, one count of careless storage of a firearm, one count of contravening storage regulations without lawful excuse, one count of unlicensed possession of a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm knowing it was unauthorized.

He is set to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on June 12. 

According to the RCMP, they're continuing their investigation.
