In memory of the death of her big brother, Christian singer Anne Wilson, has released a new single that is very personal and dear to her heart.
The song, entitled "Seventh of June," recounts the day when Anne Wilson's life was changed forever and her brother Jacob passed away.
In collaboration with Matthew West and Jeff Pardo, who also assisted her with "My Jesus" and "Living Water," Wilson has created a soul-stirring piece that shows the pain of loss she felt and how she stayed steadfast in her faith.
Through the song, Wilson not only cherishes her brother's memory but also extends condolences to those who find themselves dealing with grief.
"'Seventh of June' is a song that was written about the day that forever changed my life. The day that I lost my big brother Jacob in a tragic car accident," says Wilson to The Christian Beat. "No matter how much time passes, this is a day that will always be so important to me. I really pray this song impacts people and reminds them that it's OK to grieve. Jesus is with us in the midst of it all! This is for you, Jacob."
The music video, directed by TK McKamy, a CMA and ACM award-winning director, was filmed at the Wilson Farm, which has been in their family for over a century in the Kentucky countryside.
Since the song is deeply personal for the Wilson family, everyone pitched in for the creation of the video.
"Seventh of June" is available on all streaming platforms.
