Alvin Hartness, of the Verwood district, SK passed away June 1, 2023 at age 89 years. Alvin is survived by his wife of 66 ½ years, Lynn (Good); five children: Debbie (Alfred) Jarton, Clayton, Deanne Welter, Mark (Sherry), Brandon (Carrie); eight grandchildren: Chad, Kreg, Natasha, Ashley, Sara, Cody, Taylor, Ryley; step-grandchildren: Devin, Preston, Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren: Paxtyn, Romero, Walker; step-great-grandchildren: Jayden, Justus, Tyra, Zina, Zaleka, Zalena, Scarlet; siblings: Mabel Wallis, Maurice, Harvey (Cecelia), brother-in-law Larry (Bev) Good, sister-in-law Darlene Larson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Alvin is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Selena; father and mother-in-law Ed and Vera Bertha (Cook) Good; siblings: Thomas (Emma), Leo, John (Anne), Joseph, Ethel Wilson, Lois (Wesley) Maynard, Selena (Lloyd) Rodger, brother-in-law George Wallis, and brother and sister-in-law Bob and Sherry (Good) Spicer.
Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:30pm at St. George’s R.C. Church, Assiniboia, SK. The Reverend Arleen Champion officiating. Lunch and fellowship to follow the service, with Interment at the Verwood Cemetery at 5:00 pm.
