Fort Saskatchewan High School principal Curtis Starko came into his office Wednesday (June 14) evening to a sticky situation.

The principal's office had been plastered with sticky notes, a prank courtesy of the graduating class of 2023.

"I had no idea it was going to be my office. I thought it might be something in the school," said Starko. "I found out pretty quick that it was just me."

Fort High shared a photo of the prank to their Facebook page, showing an unimpressed Starko standing in his sticky note-laden office.

However, Starko admitted that he saw the humour in the prank.

"It's all in good fun. I have a great relationship with these kids. I've been with them for three years," added Starko. "I knew it was coming and it was very tasteful, so I had no issue with what they did."

Starko said it took the students two and a half hours to set up the 5500 sticky notes. However, it didn't take Starko nearly as long to take them down, as several students offered to help.

"I still kept what they wrote on my bulletin board, 'From your favourite graduates'. I still have that up, I thought it was pretty nice."

The final day of school at Fort High is on June 28.
