Two Saskatchewan RCMP detachments are investigating a pair of single vehicle collisions that occurred on Sunday in southern Saskatchewan.
On June 18, 2023 at approximately 12:45 a.m., Yorkton RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Highway #47, south of Springside, SK.
Yorkton RCMP officers, EMS, STARS and Springside Fire Department responded to the scene. The vehicle had three occupants, the driver and two passengers. The 64-year-old male driver was taken to hospital and later declared deceased. Two adult passengers were taken to hospital for further assessment.
Traffic restrictions were in place while an on-scene investigation was completed. The highway has since been re-opened.
The same day at approximately 4:10 a.m., Gravelbourg RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway #58, south of Gravelbourg, SK.
Gravelbourg RCMP officers and EMS responded to the scene. One occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old male from Gravelbourg area, was declared deceased on scene. Two other vehicle occupants were taken to hospital for further assessment.
The road was blocked while an on-scene investigation was completed and has since re-opened.
Both investigations are ongoing with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstruction and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
