Frontier Days officially kicks off today, marking the start of an eagerly awaited annual celebration.
With thrilling rodeo performances, exciting carnival rides, and delicious treats, Frontier Days has something for everyone.
W.W Smith Pancake Breakfast
Kicking things off, the W.W. Smith Pancake Breakfast will take place at 7:30 a.m. this morning in Market Square.
The burning of the brand will take place at 8:00 a.m., and donations from Jeans for Teens will be donated to The Center.
All proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Swift Current Branch of Canadian Mental Health.
Heavy Horse Show
Starting the lineup of events at Kinetic Park, the Heavy Horse Show will take place at the Magnus Newland Arena beginning at 10 a.m.
Sasktel Kiddies Day Parade
The Sasktel Kiddies Day Parade will march through the streets of downtown Swift Current later this afternoon.
With a theme of ‘Let’s Celebrate’ the procession will depart from Memorial Park at 4:00 p.m. today.
Canadian Raptor Conservancy
Located in the Palliser Pavillion, the Canadian Raptor Conservancy allows individuals to get up close and personal with these brilliant birds.
At 5:00 p.m. today, and 7:00 p.m. today, visitors can learn about Canada's various species of birds of prey.
Frontier City Pig Races
Hooves will hit the floor at the Frontier City Pig Races.
The tiny athletes will be competing at the Family Fun Zone, in between the Stockade and the Palliser Pavillion, at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
