Seth Saulteaux rode his final bull on Sunday, July 2. 

The 19-year-old was competing in the Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR) event on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation when he was fatally wounded. 

He took a hard hit to the hit and then to his chest and was able to walk to the bucking chute. He was then transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Family and friends have taken to social media to offer their condolences and share memories of Saulteaux.

According to reports, Saulteaux had qualified for the INFR main event in Las Vegas three times and had a goal of riding in the Professional Bull Riders circuit.

Homer Holloway, a committee member for the Stoney First Nation Canada Day Rodeo said they will plan something to remember Saulteaux by in the near future.
