A man was charged with arson after three buildings were damaged by a fire on July 2.

Redwater RCMP have arrested and charged a man with arson in connection to the fire that broke out over the weekend.
On July 2 police responded to a residence after reports of an intoxicated person who was causing a disturbance. The suspect was located outside a business in the area and arrested for theft.
During the arrest police noticed a fire at an adjacent building and were told by witnesses that the arrested suspect had started the fire.
Firefighters arrived and put the fire out. Three buildings were damaged in the blaze, with nearby buildings dealing with water damage.
31-year-old Tony Agawa was charged with:
- Arson
- Break and Enter
- Theft under $5,000
Agawa was released on conditions and will be facing court in Fort Saskatchewan on July 20.
