A young man from Leduc has been charged with drug trafficking following a two-week long investigation.

Leduc RCMP have charged a teenage man with drug trafficking after officers began an investigation in early June.

On June 21, police executed a search warrant in the Keystone Crescent area in Leduc. Police ended up seizing 2 ounces of cocaine, 3 ounces of a cutting agent, 10 grams of psilocybin, and over $400 in cash.

As a result, police have charged 18-year-old Frederick Warren Young, a resident of Leduc, with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Trafficking a controlled substance

Young has been released from custody and will be appearing in Leduc provincial court on July 20.
