The watch has been issued for the following areas:

- Gibbons
- Namao
- Lamont
- Bruderheim
- St. Albert
- Sherwood Park
- Fort Saskatchewan
- Edmonton
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions may lead to damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and large hail.
