BHP presented the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation with a $200,000.00 donation in support of priority equipment needs.

BHP’s donation will enable the Foundation to commit to funding two bladder scanners that will support Inpatients, emergency and Home Care; Glidescope for emergency as well as enhanced operating room equipment that will benefit our surgeons and their patients.

“The generosity of BHP is always an unexpected and graciously accepted donation. Our health care workers and patients will see immediate results with the funding of two bladder scanners filling a void since the sites only bladder scanner quit working a few months ago,” stated Lorrie Bunko, Executive Director for HDHF. “It’s the Foundation’s goal to ensure exceptional health care is close to home to reduce travel to larger centers.”

“Assisting the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation in the purchase of priority equipment is always an exciting opportunity for BHP to ensure health and safety,” said Simon Thomas, President Potash. With this additional $200,000 it brings our total donations to $731,575 for the Foundation, improving the welfare of local community members by providing access to leading health care services, as we bring people and resources together to build a better world.

“It is important the communities that surround our projects and offices have access to leading medical services for the overall health and wellbeing of local residents.”
