Elderly woman in serious condition after Leduc car crash

An elderly woman is in hospital after a car crash earlier this week.

Leduc RCMP responded to reports of a serious injury collision on Highway 795 at the intersection of Township Road 490 on Wednesday (July 12).

According to police, the crash was between a van and a pickup truck.

STARS Air Ambulance attended the scene, transporting a 64-year-old woman to a hospital in Edmonton, where she remains in serious condition.

The highway was reopened at around 10:30 that night, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
