The Sturgeon County Bounty, which began as a small gathering, has grown over the years into a popular community event.

Despite the smokey skies and risk of a thunderstorm, the Sturgeon County Bounty still saw a huge turnout.

The two-day free event began on Thursday (July 13) in Cardiff Park and featured live entertainment, a vendor village, and plenty of activities.

There is an expected turnout of 3,000 people for each day of the festival.

Some of the activities included inflatable obstacle courses, axe throwing, and a giant game of snakes and ladders.

Although the event is free, the food trucks and local vendors did charge money.

Many of the food trucks use locally grown ingredients.

For those who missed out, the Sturgeon County Bounty is still going on today from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
