With deep sorrow, the family of Trevor Giesbrecht announce his sudden and unexpected death on July 12, 2023. Gone much too soon at the age of 42.

Trevor Wade Giesbrecht (Trevy Wade), was born on June 13, 1981 in Drumheller, Alberta. When he was three, he moved to Swift Current, SK with his Mom, Sally and two siblings Teresa and Allen. Soon afterwards his little sister Lee-Ann was born.

He was known as The Little Professor as he was always seen walking up and down Dahl Street, hands behind his back in deep thought. He made and retained friends easily and has several from all stages of his life.

Trev grew up into an intelligent young man who was a natural leader, ambitious, kind and was very talented in many things. If you needed to know how to change oil he would teach you at great length, and he would always be able to regale anyone with how trains worked after his time as Train-Master for CN.

Before that he was working at REM and while there he met and married Brandi East and then became a father to his three boys, Ashton (Wag), Hayden (Paper) and Avery (Bert).

He was the master of nicknames and had one for everybody even if he only met you once. He loved a good 'Dad' joke was well known as a practical joker.

During his time at Sask Abilities, he was a driving force behind the Swift Current Transit department setting-up and maintaining the public busing. Through this role, he worked long hours and was committed to serving both the community and the Abilities clients.

Four years ago, he met and fell in love with Jessica Christine (JC) Tribble and welcomed her into his family, becoming a loving father to her two children Seth (Screech) and Zoey (Small One). He loved his family and was proud of all his kids and he looked forward to his upcoming wedding to Jessica. Together they began working at Primerica Financial Services as well as studying to become a real estate agent. He looked forward to building his real estate portfolio and financial business with her.
