Police are trying to identify a suspect connected to a series of arsons in north Edmonton.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking the public for their help in identifying a suspected arsonist. 

Police say that a suspect is alleged to have set multiple fires in the Delwood neighbourhood in north Edmonton last month. 

The first series of fires were reported during the early morning hours of June 5th. This incident resulted in significant damage to six detached garages in Delwood. 

The second incident happened on June 10th when a fire was started behind a residential garage near 128 Avenue and 72 Street. 

Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for all of these fires and have provided the following description:

  • Tall, thin man 
  • Wearing a pair of shoes with reflective stripes on the back during the June 5th incident

Anybody with information on the suspect's identity is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
