Meteorologists are currently tracking a severe thunderstorm that has the potential to produce a tornado in addition to damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. If threatening weather approaches, take cover immediately.
If you see a funnel cloud, debris swirling near the ground, or hear a roaring sound, take cover right away.
Go to a room indoors on the lowest floor and away from outside walls and windows like a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet.
If in a mobile home, vehicle, tent, trailer or other temporary or free-standing shelter, move to a strong building if possible.
If unable to find a more secure shelter, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
Tornado warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing tornadoes.
