The Bruno Show and Shine has had an exceptional run of sunny, summertime weather over its 17 year run. With only one certified rain out, the annual celebration of all things automotive has built a legacy of crowd-pleasing entertainment under the clear prairie skies. Such was the case on Sunday, when denizens of the region gathered again to marvel at the collector's edition cars, bikes, trucks, and the multitude of tractors on the Bruno Sports Grounds.
Some of those vehicles made the trek up Highway 2 from the Watrous Fun Run the day before. There were also some special additions that made their way exclusively to Bruno. The tractor pulls are always a great draw, with long lost names like Minneapolis Moline and Allis Chalmers stirring up memories from bygone farming days.
Brian Krentz, organizer of the Bruno Show and Shine said that 128 registered cars had pulled in for the show, along with about 40-50 tractors.
“There are many cars here that are not in production anymore – the companies are just gone.
The weather sparked a great attendance for the free Sunday show.
