Canadian country superstar Aaron Goodvin will be Taking it to The Streets of Swift Current as he takes to the grandstand stage this Saturday night along with the Johner Brothers and Johner Boys.
It will be an epic night for Goodvin to take the stage with these artists whom he says he grew up listening to.
Goodvin details what fans can expect from his upcoming performance.
"Just a whole lot of fun. We're out here pretty much every week, we tour the US a lot and it's the same group of guys so we're pretty tight. We keep it pretty real and it's just a lot of fun."
Goodvin's new EP "Lucky Stars" is out now and the album also features a collaboration with another Canadian country star Meghan Patrick called "You Ain't". Goodvin says the song was on the EP to begin with but they refurbished it with Patrick on it. He says he has written with her a few times before so he knew they sounded good together.
Originally from Alberta, Goodvin has called Nashville home for the past 11 years and says that he has an amazing career here in Canada which helps them to do what they are doing in the US.
While Goodvin has been busy touring, he is also currently preparing himself for fatherhood. He and his wife are expecting their first child and he says they can't wait to bring the little one into the world. According to Goodvin, his dream is for them to have a tour bus and just tour around and just play shows.
Goodvin also reflected on some of his favorite hits to perform which are sure to be on the set list Saturday night.
"Woman in Love is one of my favorites because it's timeless, it just feels like it never gets old. "Lonely Drum" of course is a blast just to see people's reactions. It's no longer my story it's everybody else's song."
Gates to the grandstand at Kinetic Park will open at 6 pm on Saturday and the Johner Brothers will be taking to the stage at 7 pm followed by Goodvin.
