We sadly announce the sunset of Miskokwanikitook (who was known by all as Shannon B Kelly) walk on this earth on May 3rd, 2021. Phisew ndodemiin. The Sun rose and the family welcomed her on January 13, 1984. She was full of humor and laughter even during the difficult times of her journey of Life. She was filled with kindness. She’s had a difficult battle with a progressive disease and is finally at rest. Miskokwanikitook will be fondly remembered and very missed by all who entered her circle. She will be forever remembered and loved by Family and Friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved Mother, Beverly Jean Kelly and her beloved Dad, Norman Lasase. One beloved sister Michelle Kelly. Her Grandparents Edwin and Mary Celine Kelly. Her Uncles Norman (Sonny), Vernon, and Norbert Kelly. Her Aunt Joanne and Laureen Kelly.
She is survived by her children, Grace B Kelly Smith of Maple Ridge (adopted parents Christina Smith), Michelle Magdalena Bardales-Kelly Kinew of Coquitlam (Foster parents, Oscar Hall and Sally White), Randal Newman Kelly of North Vancouver (Angela Meule and Joanne Drew). She is also survived by one brother Stevie Ray Spoon and his children Peter Bronson, Wanderlei Aaron, Celina Jean and Stevie Ray Jr., her Aunties-Delores Kelly (Billy Boucher) and her children, Alison, Wayne, Julia, Samantha and Alana. The grandchildren Daniel, Calista, Lucas, Wayne JR, and Sadie, Verna Kelly, her son Daryle and his partner Blanche and his children Shay,Jordan,Colin and Harry, Valerie Harris and her children and grandchildren, one grand Uncle Fred Kelly of Winnipeg, Manitoba., The many Friends of Vancouver and Surrey BC where she had made her home.
The ceremony will be done by Gilbert Smith of Niacatchewenin FN., with the Wake beginning on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Onigaming First Nation gymnasium. The Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Onigaming Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Daniel Dixon, Stevie Ray, Wayne Acoby, Miles Kelly.
