As summer days continue in Cypress Hills, Dars Little Dipper is marking the incredible milestone of 25 years of delighting visitors with delectable treats and cherished memories.

To honour this achievement, the popular ice cream parlour recently threw a festive foam party, bringing together families, friends, and loyal customers to celebrate the business that has become an iconic part of the Cypress Hills experience.

Andy Brown, the owner and operator of Dars Little Dipper, said that the journey to this milestone has been a rollercoaster.

"It's been a journey," he stated. "In 25 years, there have been up years and down years, but overall, it's been a blessing to be out here."

The anniversary celebrations kicked off with a substantial renovation that revitalized the establishment. Renovations included a complete overhaul of the kitchen, fresh coats of paint, and new equipment.

"We had a lot of time in May and June to get ready for the summer," Brown noted.

One highlight of the anniversary festivities was undoubtedly the foam party, an event that was centred around the joy and energy Dars Little Dipper has brought to the community over the years.

“Our business is always been built around kids so, going into it, I wanted to make sure that we had lots of stuff for the kids,” Brown explained. “So we had a fantastic foam party outside, people came with their trunks and their goggles and got into this. We put about 200 people through the foam party. It was just awesome.”

The foam party wasn't the only attraction, as bouncy castles provided additional entertainment for the younger crowd.

The festivities extended to the evening with a remarkable performance by a band from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Las Mambas, who rocked the amphitheatre and drew a record-breaking crowd of over 350 people.

The celebrations continued with delicious Mexican cuisine prepared by one of the chefs to honour the theme and spirit of the event.

Brown added that the event was everything he had imagined and more.

“There was just pure joy with the kids and I said to myself, ‘I don't care what this holding this cost me, it's worth every penny,’” he concluded.
