After a two-year wait, Riley Clemmons has released new music.
"It fills me with so much joy to finally share this collection of songs with you," Clemmons shared. "The past several years I’ve been a sponge in writers’ rooms and studios… soaking up everything I could possibly learn. Church Pew is the album I’ve spent my entire adult life preparing and learning how to write… it feels like I’ve found my voice not only as an artist & writer but also as a young woman who loves Jesus."
Church Pew is Riley's third studio album. She says the songs from this project are her stories, and she hopes they will become the listener's stories as well.
After battling burnout and depression brought on by being in the spotlight, Riley has spent the past year reflecting on what brings her joy. Church Pew follows that journey and the healing process along the way.
"My hope is that these songs remind you of how deeply God loves you & how, at the end of the day, we’re really all just trying our best to figure it all out… and that’s okay," Clemmons explained. "This chapter already feels like a special one, and I’m honoured to have each & every one of you be a part of it."
Meanwhile, at the release party for Church Pew, Riley's team surprised her by announcing that her single 'Fighting For Me' had officially become RIAA Certified Gold.
"I am just about speechless. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you to my absolutely incredible team at Capitol CMG who’s supported me every step of the way & surprised me with this beautiful plaque at the “Church Pew” release party a few days ago. This is so special. This is so surreal," said Clemmons in a post on social media."Thank you to my sweet family for being such a source of love & support. I’m truly so grateful. What a sweet way to kick off this new season."
