The Broncos fought right to the end and had numerous high-end chances all the way until the final seconds in the third.
Reid Dyck was excellent on the other side of the ice for Swift Current, stopping 33 of 35 pucks that he saw and that was key for the Broncos to be able to quiet an offence that averaged more than six goals per game coming in.
“We were definitely happy with how Reid played,” McEwen said. “I thought he played really steady throughout the whole game, made some real big saves, key saves in key moments. I thought we did a really good job of, we talked about limiting their transition and getting back on top of them and not giving them the odd man rushes, and I thought we did a good job of that.”
