Categories

If you love everything there is to love about beef, you'll want to take in the Manitoba AG EX this week at the Keystone Centre.

The annual event is hosted by the Provincial Exhibition and this year AG EX is celebrating 50 years of showcasing the best of the best beef cattle from across the country.

The Manitoba AG EX is the largest all breeds, cattle show, and this year they are hosting the Nationals.

"We've got all breed shows, the Lady Classics, the Jack Pot Bull Show and we've also got Showmanship," shares General Manager, Mark Humphries. "So, there's a lot of see for everybody there!"

"We've actually got qualifiers going to Agribition," shares General Manager, Mark Humphries. "They can actually qualify here to go straight on to Agribition and I think there is a $10,000 prize and a belt buckle as well."

Also back again, they've partnered with the Manitoba Sheep Association to host a Jackpot Market Lamb Show!

Moo Mania and Ewe Mania are also back and is a highlight for students in Grades 3, 4 and 5. Elementary school students take in all things cattle and sheep, including where our food comes from, the aspects of agriculture and healthy environmental practices, the digestive system in cattle, and MORE!

This year's Tradeshow is the largest to date with participants from across the country. "We've expanded it for our 50th Anniversary," says Humphries. "Everything from Ford trucks down to tractors, t-shirts and goodies, and even food, so there's something for everybody!"

New this year is Party in the DIRT featuring HICKTOWN! Friday, October 27th in the Westoba Agriculture Centre of Excellence.

"It is going to be a really fantastic week and we're hoping to see everybody there!" adds Humphries.
