Stolen car from Didsbury leads to major drug bust in Northern Alberta

A car that was reported stolen out of Didsbury two years ago was subsequently stopped during a traffic stop in Northern Alberta by Mounties, resulting in a seizure of $10,000 worth of narcotics.

According to Mounties, last Thursday, Whitecourt RCMP was conducting roving patrols when a driver on Highway 43 was observed not wearing a seatbelt.

"A roadside stop was conducted and the Alberta RCMP Traffic Unit officer noted that the VIN did not match the registration and insurance documents."
