Missing Assiniboia man found deceased
A 38-year-old missing man from Assiniboia has been located deceased by the RCMP.
In a press release from the Ponteix RCMP, police stated that Greg Klein was located yesterday and initial investigation suggests that his death was non-suspicious.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is continuing to investigate the death.
Small southwest business reduced to ashes
An unexpected blaze in the early hours of Thursday morning left a small business, in the Cantuar area, little more than a shell of smoke and ash.
At approximately 5:30 a.m. on July 21, the RM of Swift Current Fire Department (RMSCFD) responded to the call northwest of the city, after a passerby noticed the blaze.

The RCMP added that the initial investigation indicates his death is non-suspicious in nature. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service continues to investigate. They thanked their news partners and the public for their assistance.

Public's assistance needed locating Saskatchewan man
Ponteix RCMP are seeking the whereabouts of Greg Klein, from Assiniboia, and are asking for assistance from the public.
The 38-year-old man has brown hair, green eyes, stands at 6'2" tall, and weighs approximately 220 lbs.
Klein was last seen on a grid road east of Highway 58 near Waverley.
He was seen walking around 9:30 p.m. on July 21, 2022.

Swift Current musician fighting for spot in North American competition
One Swift Current resident is reaching for the stars, as he competes in ‘The opening Act,’ a music competition sponsored by Audacity Entertainment.

Gas prices on the decline
Residents may soon be seeing rather sizeable discrepancies in gas prices around West Central Saskatchewan.
The cost of fuel in Saskatchewan has been slowly declining over the last month, after previously jumping to record prices.
In December, gas prices in the province were sitting at 1.30/L before skyrocketing to 2.03/L in mid-June.
Swift Current SPCA blown away by public's generosity
As the scorching heat soared to 33 degrees Celsius on Friday, residents in Swift Current rallied together to come to the need of the local SPCA.
Just before ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, employees at the shelter took to social media to make an urgent plea after the air conditioning units in the dog area and three back cat rooms failed to work.
Summer sun and tons of fun in Cabri
The town of Cabri came together over the weekend for Cabri Daze, which took place in the rural community for the first time in five years.
The three-day event kicked off on Friday at the ball diamonds where the Cabri River Rats faced off against the Hazlet Elks.
