Broncos embark on final multi-game road trip of the season
The Humboldt Broncos will head out on their final multi-game road trip of the season, as they head to the Parkland region of the province, on Friday they tangle with the Yorkton Terriers and then on Saturday they square off with the Melville Millionaires.
It has been a while since the Broncos have been on the road for back-to-back games, the last occurrence was the final three games in 2024, when Humboldt met the Weyburn Red Wings and Estevan Bruins in a three-game trip.

It will be another busy weekend for local Senior hockey teams in both league and provincial playoffs.
Provincials
The Leroy Braves host the Kyle Elks in game two of their series in ‘A’ provincials on Saturday night at 8:30 after Leroy won game one in Kyle. If the Elks win game two, then the deciding game three goes Sunday afternoon in Leroy at 3:00.
Planned power outage for Lanigan area on Thursday, February 27
There is a planned power outage affecting the Lanigan area on Thursday, February 27.
Customers west and southwest of Lanigan along with surrounding communities will experience a power outage from 10am-2pm this Thursday.
SaskPower will be working on improving the power system in the area.
Creativity on display with Local Writers Night at the Gallery
An evening full of creativity is set for Wednesday, February 5 at 6:30 at the Humboldt Gallery.
The third annual Local Writers Night will take place.
It will be an opportunity to listen to local writers present up to seven minutes of their work.
Cultural Services Director Jennifer Fitzpatrick said, “In the past writers have read poems, personal essays, parts of larger works and even a graphic novel.”
