Winnipeg author shares stories of lives transformed by Christ at orphanage

Mully Children's Family has been close to the heart of local author Paul Boge since he first visited decades ago. 

"I went to MCF for the first time in 2003 to teach physics and math, and Charles Mully asked me to write the story of his life," said Boge. "I almost fell off my chair. It felt like you were interviewing somebody who had just walked out of the book of Acts."

He has been involved ever since, writing five books about Mully Children's Family, including his latest book Transformations.

Dallas Jenkin updates The Chosen fans on Season 5 release date

Fans of The Chosen are beyond excited as they await the release of Season 5 of the popular show. 

On Sunday, Dallas Jenkins announced via a live stream on YouTube that The Chosen's next season will be released in April 2025.

"It is coming to theatres, the entire season, not exactly all at once, but you will have a chance during the theatrical release to at some point, spend an entire day watching the entire season," said Jenkins.

Union Gospel Mission honours several volunteers at seven ministries with video

A Winnipeg mission says it's seeking to honour its many volunteers in a unique way.

Union Gospel Mission is a Biblically-based, Gospel-oriented Mission in Downtown Winnipeg. 

It has seven ministries that run daily to serve the community. From men's addiction recovery, women's addiction recovery, children and camp, adult education at Faith Learning Centre, Christian school, street ministry, and family ministries. 

Bethany Hamilton mourns the sudden loss of her 3-year-old nephew after drowning accident

Professional surfer and Christian writer, Bethany Hamilton is mourning the loss of her three-year-old nephew. 

A week ago, Hamilton reached out to her friends, family and followers on social media to pray for the young boy. 

"HELP‼️ My precious nephew was medivaced to Kapiolani in Oahu this morning after drowning last night," said Hamilton in a post on Instagram. "He still has a heartbeat and has fight in him. Please pray. Thank you!"

Unfortunately, a few days later he passed away.

Made In Manitoba's Rachel Colman is excited to release her new album, Make a Way, on Saturday, Oct. 26. 

Growing up in Altona, Man. Colman's father made sure that music was always in their home. "My father played guitar and sang in a quartet and he made sure that I knew a lot about music. I took piano lessons and I probably started singing in church when I was seven with him, and then I studied music in university," Colman says. 

After working as a music director in churches for around 20 years, she says, "That venue of music, I feel a vocation for me."

College singers pay tribute to Mandisa at recent NFL game

A group of singers from a choir that Mandisa used to sing in paid tribute to her at a recent NFL game. 

The Fisk Jubilee Singers performed last week during the halftime show of a Tenessee Titans game.

Danny Marshall, Mandisa's uncle, introduced the singers thanking the group and the Tenessee Titans for recognizing her.

Fresh off their GMA Dove Award wins, worship artists Bethel Music are releasing new music, including a single off their upcoming album. 

The single "Even Though I Walk" was released on Oct. 21, and features Hannah McClure. It is one of 18 tracks that will be on the new album We Must Respond that will be released on Jan. 10, 2025. 

Lost on a Mountain in Maine: Young boy's amazing story of survival hitting big screen

Lost on a Mountain in Maine, produced by Sylvester Stallone, will be hitting theatres and inspiring people across North America in the next few days. 

"It's a story about Donn Fendler who was a kid who was lost, on a mountain, in Maine," says Luke David Blumm, the actor who plays Fendler. "It's a really good story. Deeper down it's a lot about the relationship between Donn and his father. The movie takes place in the 1930s when fathers and sons did not have the closest of relationships."
