Kindersley RCMP search for vehicle after flight from police
Kindersley RCMP are currently searching for a suspect and vehicle after a flight from police that occurred yesterday.
Around 16:15 a white GMC 2500 ext cab fled from police eastbound on highway 21 north of Kindersley. The vehicle in question has black fender flares and front bumper. The tailgate is mismatched grey in color.
Anyone that may have seen the vehicle is asked to contact Kindersley RCMP or 310-7267.
SaskPower engaging customers on future of provinces power system
SaskPower is reaching out to residents for their input as they look for cleaner, greener, and more innovative sources of power.
Residents can provide input through in-person sessions or a new online tool as a spokesperson for SaskPower Scott McGregor explains.
"So to keep our power reliable and cost-effective we're going to be evaluating and developing a whole wide suite of options to power the future and we want to hear from Saskatchewan on their thoughts, their concerns, their questions and so that's why were engaging customers on this."
Eventful weekend for CMX Powersports race team
It was an eventful weekend this past weekend for the CMX Powersports racing team.
Riders Cole Conn, Luke Hodgins, and Jess Gardner all competed in Moose Jaw with Hodgins placing second on the podium and Gardner following close behind in third place.
It was an unfortunate result for Conn who was competing in the ProMx3 class when he crashed in the rhythm section breaking his foot. He underwent surgery and is doing fine but will be out for 4 to 6 weeks and unable to finish the season.
Success School opens doors to Stewart Valley students and staff for coming year
Good news has emerged from the Chinook School Division in regard to a yearly plan for Stewart Valley School students and staff.
After the devastating loss of the Stewart Valley School due to a fire on August 26th, the Chinook School Division has announced that students and staff will be moving over to Success School for the upcoming year.

Local RCMP are currently busy attempting to locate a silver Dodge Ram Truck pulling a car hauler trailer with two male occupants.
Residents are asked to report any further information or sightings of the vehicle by calling 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS
Local RCMP on lookout for stolen vehicle
Swift Current Rural RCMP is on the lookout for a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 grey in color with Saskatchewan plate 197 KPS.
The vehicle was stolen and last seen near Cantuar and it is believed that a second vehicle, a white GMC pick up may be associated and traveling together.

River Hills First Responder Group provides chance to dine for a cause
Dining for a cause is the theme this weekend as residents can partake in the upcoming River Hills First Responder Dinner Night Fundraiser.
Taking place this Saturday, August 6th from 4:00 pm through to 8:00 pm at Swifty's Casual Dinning, Jeremy Pettigrew Coordinator for the River Hills First Responder Group provides details on the necessity of these fundraisers.
"We're all volunteers and we rely on public support to operate. So any funding we receive helps to offset our operating costs such as medical equipment upkeep and vehicle upkeep as well."
Local veterans honored through second year of program
Once again this year the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 56 will be running their Veteran of the Week program.
John Griffin, Public Relations Officer from the branch provides further details on the program.
"It runs from August 1st to November 11th so that's 15 weeks and we feature 15 veterans. Each veteran gets a write-up and a short video."
The write-ups will be posted on the branch's website and the videos will be posted on their YoutTube account.
