Mrs. Marian Nickel

Marian A. Nickel of Herbert, Saskatchewan, passed away at Outlook Hospital on August 5, 2024. Marian was born on March 30, 1936 in Herbert, Saskatchewan. Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Don (Linda), Mel (Sharon), Lawrence; daughters: Elva (Blair), Shirley, Alice, Doreen (Steve), Patricia, and Sharon. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Kathie, Bertha, Selma; brothers: Peter, Carl, Deitrick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred D.

Marilyn Jean (Trautwein) Clary

Marilyn passed away peacefully in her sleep at the long term care home in Leader on July 23, 2024. Mom was born in 1930 and raised on a farm north of Leader by her parents Gustav and Mollie Trautwein. She grew up with four siblings: Eleanor, Robert, Elaine, and Carol. She is predeceased by all of them with the exception of her youngest sister Carl (Wickenheiser) who resides in Medicine Hat. 

Valerie Ruth Hartman

It is with heavy hearts that the Family of Valerie Ruth Hartman announce her passing on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Valerie, age 70, passed away peacefully at the Kyle Health Centre in Kyle Saskatchewan. 

Valerie was born at the Kyle/White Bear Union Hospital on December 28, 1953 to Harold and Esther Shaw. Valerie attended school at White Bear and Kyle Saskatchewan. 

Lavon Marion Shaw

Lavon Marion Shaw age 98 of Cabri Saskatchewan, passed away on July 17, 2024 at The Prairie Health Care Centre in Cabri. At Lavon's request no funeral services will take place. 

Lavon is survived by sons Larald (Cindy) and Perry. Grandchildren: Brandy Mogg (Chad) and great grandchildren: Ava, Brooklyn, and Hudson. Step-Grandson Travis Hart (Kimberly), and great grandchildren: Adalynn and Norah Hart. Extended family: Bonnie Shaw and Lauris Thinglestad. Brother Gordon Tonsaker, two sisters Thelma McCelland and Lorraine Solheim, and sister in law Bonnie Tonsaker. 

Ina Jean Fox

Ina Hattie Jean Fox, 88 years of Kyle, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at the Kyle Health Centre on July 26, 2024.

Ina was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on August 6, 1935. Ina was the daughter of William and Helen (Hiebert) Dear. 

Mr. Larry Grose

The funeral service for Mr. Larry Grose will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Church of the Open Bible with Pastor Paul Little and Pastor Dave Smith officiating.

The interment service will be held at Schanzenfeld Cemetery following the reception.

Eileen Violet Hendrikje Sparks

Eileen Violet Hendrikje Sparks (Vi) of Swift Current, SK passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024 at the age of 77 surrounded by her family at the Cypress Regional Hospital.

Vi was born on July 9, 1947 in Birch Hills, SK to Shorty & Rikki Griffin and as the years passed became the loving big sister to seven siblings. It was a large, loud boisterous household and her siblings share many stories of their youth.

Henry Dyck of Rhineland, SK passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, in Swift Current.

He is survived by his wife Elaine, daughters; Penny, Nancy, and Beverly (Jason), grandsons; Mathieu and Brett, granddaughters; Kayla (Isaiah), Charlotte, Danica, and great grandson Silas, Mother Helen, brothers; John, Dale (Carol), Pete (Janine), Will (Carrie), sisters; Marian, Laurel (Pat), Diana, Melanie, as well as many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
