A 38-year-old Winkler female, and a 17-year-old female from Roseau River First Nation, are facing multiple charges after a violent incident late Monday night.
Driver charged after vehicle-pedestrian collision in Winkler
A 17 year old has been charged after a vehicle-pedestrian collision Sunday afternoon in Winkler.
Police Chief Ryan Hunt says officers responded to the scene around 2:45 p.m. at the crosswalk in the 700 block of Main Street. They found a female lying on the roadway with unknown injuries, but conscious, with other motorists having stopped to care for the injured woman.
Delegations taking concerns to SCRL member councils

Two clinics in the region have issued a memo to area employers as local physicians experience increased demands and workload.
The C.W. Wiebe Medical Centre in Winkler and Morden's Menzies Medical Centre have advised that physicians at each facility cannot be providing medical notes for patients and/or employees with minor respiratory or other minor medical conditions for which they would otherwise not see a doctor.

Stolen plates lead to more charges for man with outstanding warrant
The discovery of stolen Ontario plates on a vehicle has led to additional charges being laid against a male who already had an outstanding warrant issued.
Friday night while on patrol, Morden police located a vehicle with the stolen plates. After officers pulled over the vehicle, the male driver was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
The 23-year-old male also had an outstanding Warrant for Arrest and Driving Prohibition from Winkler Police Service.
He was released with an Appearance Notice to appear at Morden Provincial Court in February.
'From Everywhere to Bethlehem' in Winkler draws over 2,000 people
While a few days this past weekend was bitterly cold it didn't stop people in southern Manitoba from taking in a live version of the retelling of Jesus' birth.
After a two-year hiatus, the live nativity called 'From Everywhere to Bethlehem,' put on by Winkler's EMMC, was again set up in Winkler Park. The Christmas event drew 2,168 people throughout the weekend.
At one point, on Sunday evening, the line-up grew to an hour long, reaching the waterslide tower.

Blowing Snow Advisory issued for Red River Valley ahead of blustery Friday
Environment Canada has issued a Blowing Snow Advisory for the entire Red River Valley and parts of Southeastern Manitoba ahead of a blustery Friday. Communities included are Carman, Morden, Winkler, Altona, Emerson, Morris, Steinbach and Vita. The City of Winnipeg is also under the Advisory.
Gusty northwesterly winds will develop Friday morning and persist into Friday evening. These gusty winds combined with falling snow will lead to significantly reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Legends Car Club divvies up additional year-end funds
It's being described as a welcome gift that will help support programming at Altona's newest community resource organization.
Members of the Legends Car Club board have donated $1,000 to The Community Exchange. The proceeds generated through the car club's 2022 annual Charity Drag Races.
The Community Exchange is a new initiative in Altona that serves as a hub to connect people to a network of community events and services to support living and thriving in Altona and surrounding areas.
