RCMP respond to incident at Bethesda Hospital Sunday afternoon
A noticeable police presence was reported at Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach on Sunday.
RCMP have confirmed they responded to a call in the afternoon.
In a brief statement issued Sunday evening at 9:25pm, RCMP Media Relations Officer Corporal Melanie Roussel stated, “Steinbach RCMP received a complaint for the Bethesda Hospital this afternoon, June 8, at approximately 1 pm. This is still under investigation but it was determined that there is no danger for the safety of the public.”
'It could have been nasty', no injuries reported in Highway 1 collision
The Tache Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and Provincial Road 206 around 1 p.m. Sunday.
Fire Chief Allan Rau says the pickup truck was crossing Highway 1 when it was unsafe to do so, and it struck the back end of an eastbound semi-trailer.
