Rob- Maryse Carmichael is the city manager with the City of Moose Jaw on Take 5 with Carnie and Carmichael.  

One more thing I think we should touch on, that is a City of Moose Jaw employee town hall that was recently held. Tell us about that, (you) held it at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. How was the attendance and what were the topics that we dealt with? 

Take 5 - Tourism in Moose Jaw

Rob- Sidewalk Days is coming up, of course, and tourism season in full swing here in Moose Jaw. You mentioned the Hometown Fair Parade coming right up. Some great numbers released by Tourism Moose Jaw recently. 

Maryse- Yes, and we see it. It’s vibrant, it’s busy downtown. It was just confirmed by Moose Jaw Tourism, where they’ve had a very successful year in 2023.  

Sports Round-Up: Wednesday, June 12

The Moose Jaw Miller Express outscored the Beavers in Weyburn last night 10-7 in Western Canadian Baseball League action. 
Shortstop Thomas Soto went three-for-four with two RBI and three runs scored.

The Express next face the Swift Current 57s tonight at Mitchell Field.  The Millers' next home game is tomorrow night against the Regina Red Sox, who beat Swift Current 17-12 last night.

In Rambler Park Fastball League action, the Moose Jaw Giants fell to the Earl Grey Rockets 9-8. The Moose Jaw Canadians then beat the Rockets 10-3.

Sports Round-Up: Tuesday, June 11

The Moose Jaw Miller Express will be on the road later today to play the Beavers in Weyburn tonight. The Millers are currently 7-7 on the Western Canadian Baseball League season.

Rambler Park Fastball League action at Memorial Field tonight - it's the Moose Jaw Giants and the Moose Jaw Canadians playing the Earl Grey Rockets. The Giants are on the field at 7 p.m., with the Canadians to follow at 9 p.m.

Major League Baseball last night saw the Toronto Blue Jays fall 3-1 to the Milwaulkee Brewers.

Sports Round-Up: Monday, June 10

The Saskatoon Berries came from behind and beat the Moose Jaw Miller Express 5-4 in Saskatoon on Sunday. The Millers are now 7 and 7 on the Western Canadian Baseball League season. They'll play the Beavers in Weyburn tomorrow night.

The Moose Jaw Canucks 18U won 12-11 and 24-20 against the East Central Red Sox on Saturday. They next play the Regina Buffalos on Thursday.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express beat the Saskatoon Berries 16-9 in Western Canadian Baseball League action last night. 

Nathan Houston and Owen Robbins hit home runs for the Millers. Ethan Merk got the win on the mound.

The Miller Express play the 57s in Swift Current tonight with those same two teams playing tomorrow night at  Moose Jaw's  Ross Wells Ball Park.

In the Rambler Park Fastball League, the Moose Jaw Canadians play Touchwood Agency Tribal Council tonight in Regina.

In Major League baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays beat Baltimore 6-5.

In the Western Canadian Baseball League last night, Carnduff, Saskatchewan's Carter Beck hit a home run, stole a base and scored 5 times lifting the Saskatoon Berries to an 11-8 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Ross Wells Park.

Those same two teams will play tonight in Saskatoon.

In the Rambler Park Fastball League, the Moose Jaw Canadians next play Touchwood Agency Tribal Council this Friday in Regina.

Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles, 3-2.

Health Foundation's ‘Concerts in the Park’ returns to Crescent Park Amphitheatre

The Moose Jaw Health Foundation’s (MJHF) summer concert series ‘Concerts in the Park’ returns, Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m., starting on June 19 with Derald Busse & Friends. 

The concerts are free and take place at the Crescent Park Amphitheatre. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the music. 

Sports Round-Up: Wednesday, June 5

The Moose Jaw Miller Express beat the Saskatoon Berries at Ross Wells Park last night - final score was 5-4. 

Nathan Houston went 5 for 5 at the plate with two RBI for the winners. The Express and Berries face each other again tonight at Ross Wells.

Tonight the Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 15U take on the Regina Wolfpack at Lions Park.
