You can ask Colin Dyck about his basketball, but don’t expect him to take much credit for his quite impressive talent. He’d rather direct attention elsewhere.

When I was growing up, we lived about 20 minutes from Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes with sand beaches and beautiful water. We lived on a farm where life was always busy and my dad disliked water, so we only went to the lake maybe once each summer. As a result, I wasn’t really comfortable once the water level got past my waist or maybe chest height when I was feeling especially adventurous. One day when I was at the lake with some friends, they were determined to teach me at least to float.

When John Friesen purchased the remaining shares in Avenue Polaris Kawasaki South from Kirk and Dave Gyselinck, he knew a “tune-up” of the name was in order.

Now open as Borderland Powersports, Friesen and his team (Luke and Bryan in Parts, Melissa in Service, Cal in Sales, and Rodney and Blaine in the Shop) continue to provide a variety of Polaris and Kawasaki products – including ATVs, Side by Sides, Jet Skis, and Snowmobiles.
