LANGER

It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Gayle Alvina Langer on Thursday, September 12th, 2024.  She was predeceased by her son, Craig.  Gayle is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Langer; children: Kevin (Wendy), Jaylene (Allen), and Lorine (Cory); daughter-in-law, Wanda; grandchildren: Bo (Eilish), Kolby (Jessica), Shay, Mathew, Lane, Alea (Blake), Blake (Shanelle), Ty, Janae, and Davis (Lauren); and great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Berklea, Navy, and Brynley. 

Blayne Derwin Proden

1957 – 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Blayne Derwin Proden, Loved Father of Thomas, Vanessa (Myles), Ken (Rachael) and Krista (Andrew) and Grandpa to Anna, Walker, and Maddison, on September 3, 2024 at the age of 67.  He is also survived by his brother John Proden, brother-in-law Kerry Kinchen, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Dale Kinchen.

GOTTSELIG, Gabriel John

It is with much love that the family of Gabriel Gottselig announces his passing on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 103 years. He was predeceased by his parents Gabriel and Elizabeth, and siblings Alex, Joseph, Peter, Leo, Conrad, Paul, Kathy, Rose, Clare, Edna, Mary, and Margaret.

Gabe, as he was known by all, is survived by brothers Albert and John, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Farnel, Melvin

1949 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Melvin Joseph 'Joe' Farnel, surrounded by his loved ones, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Tuesday, July 23rd at the age of 74 years.

Funeral Date: September 17, 2024 
Esther Rempel-Harms, 94, of Steinbach passed away Monday, September 9th at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. She is survived by her husband Cornelius, 1 daughter, 1 son, 1 sister, 1 brother, and their families. She was predeceased by her first husband Jacob Peter Rempel, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. 
A celebration of life for Esther Rempel-Harms will be held Tuesday, September 17th at 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with private family interment prior to the service at Heritage Cemetery.

1936 - 2024

Ed's family sadly announces his passing at the Arcola Health Centre, Arcola, Sask. on September 10, 2024 at the age of 88.

Laura Blanche Humphrey (Kitching)

Peacefully on Tuesday, September 3rd, Blanche Humphrey passed away at the age of 90 at the Portage General Hospital.

Blanche was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on July 1st, 1934 to Robert and Elsie Kitching. She had six siblings, with her being the fourth oldest.

Shayne Dylan Kenneth Nergard, late of Vancouver, BC, passed away on August 13, 2024 at the age of 33 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Lang Community Hall, Lang, SK with Judy Beck officiating. Luncheon will follow the service at the Lang Community Hall. A Family interment will be held at Lang Cemetery, Lang, SK.

MACKENZIE

Brian Drew Mackenzie quietly passed away at the age of 45 years on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK, after a short fight with cancer.  Brian was predeceased by his husband, Joe and is survived by his parents, Barry and Brenda Mackenzie; brother, Brad Mackenzie (Laura); numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and nephews; and boyfriend, Doug Mackenzie. 

The Family of the late Joyce Hirons of Eastend and formerly of Climax announce her passing on Monday, September 9 th . A memorial service will be planned for a future date in October. Interment of Joyce Hirons cremated remains will take place at Climax Cemetery at Climax. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon is in charge of the arrangements.
