Bernard "Bud" Murphy Obituary

1934 ~ 2024 (age 90)

Bernard Albert Murphy June 25, 1934 ~ October 12, 2024

Bernard (Bud) was born in Dodsland, SK, the 9th child of Fredrick and Frances Murphy (nee Neumeier). Times were tough for Fred and Frances raising a large family on the prairies through the lean years in the 20’s and 30’s, but they were resourceful and supported by the older girls working outside of the home.

Peter Klassen, 77, of Steinbach passed away Thursday, October 17th at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by his wife Luella, 1 daughter, 1 son, and their families.  
Cremation has taken place. 
A memorial service for Peter Klassen will take place at a later date. 
Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach.

Justina Saskosky Krahn nee Unrau, 98, of Winnipeg formerly of Lowe Farm, passed away Saturday, October 19th at Winnipeg. She is survived by 1 daughter, 1 son, 2 sisters, and their families. She was predeceased by her first husband Gus Saskosky, her second husband Henry Krahn, and siblings. 
The funeral service for Justina Saskosky Krahn nee Unrau will be held Friday, October 25th at 1pm at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, with burial at Green Acres Cemetery.

Clarence Janzen, 85, of Elm Creek passed away Sunday, October 20th at Carman Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife MaryAnne, 1 daughter, 2 sons, and their families. 
The funeral service for Clarence Janzen will be held Friday, October 25th at 2pm at Crossway Elm Creek with private family interment at Elm Creek Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Carman Thursday, October 24th from 7 to 8pm.

Funeral Date: October 25, 2024 
Diane Margaret Peloquin, 82, of Winnipeg formerly of Ste. Anne, passed away Thursday, October 17th at St. Boniface Hospital. She is survived by 2 daughters, 1 son, 1 sister, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Ulysse. 
A memorial service for Diane Margaret Peloquin will be held Friday, October 25th at 3pm at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Parish with ash interment at the parish cemetery. 
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Patricia Mary Reid aged 78 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, at Providence Place with her family by her side. 

Patricia was born on April 7th, 1946, in Regina Saskatchewan to John and Anna MacDonald.  She was the youngest of 5 siblings.  Growing up in Regina she was an active child who loved animals, horseback riding, and ice skating with friends in the winter.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George "Mike" Allan Barton, who passed away peacefully at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the age of 90 years.  The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Pioneer Lodge for the compassionate care Mike received during his time there.

It is with deep sorrow and hearts full of memories that we announce the passing of beloved wife and mother, Florence Jocelyn Wood, who left us peacefully on October 17th, 2024, at the age of 80 years.  Born on December 20th, 1943, in Herbert, Saskatchewan, she was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength to all who knew her.
