Donald Longmuir Obituary

1944 ~ 2024 (age 80)

The family of Donald Francis Longmuir sadly announce his passing on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at the age of 80 years.

Donald will be lovingly remembered by his children; Curtis (Brooke), Karman (Christina), and Nathan (Amanda).  His legacy will live on in his 8 beloved grandchildren; Tristan, Teylor, Presley, Lane, Lacey, Clayton, Luke, and Madison.  He had been predeceased by the love of his life, Veronica in 2020.

Bill Toews, 84, of Altona formerly of Kleinstadt, passed away Thursday, October 10th at Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his wife Margaret, 1 daughter, 2 sons, and their families. 
A private funeral service for Bill Toews will be held with burial at Hochstadt Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona Wednesday, October 16th from1 to 9pm.

Funeral For:  Georges Bruneau 
Funeral Date: October 19, 2024 
Georges Bruneau, 97, of Winnipeg formerly of St. Jean-Baptiste, passed away Saturday, October 12th at Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his wife Celima, 2 daughters, 3 sons, and their families. He was predeceased by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. 
The Mass of Resurrection for Georges Bruneau will be held Saturday, October 19th at 2pm at St. Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church with burial at the parish cemetery. 

Funeral For:  Connie Toews 
Funeral Date: October 19, 2024 
Connie Toews, 63, of Altona passed away Tuesday, October 15th at Altona Memorial Health Centre. She is survived by 3 sisters, 4 brothers, and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Eva Toews, 1 sister and 1 brother-in-law. 
The funeral service for Connie Toews will be held Saturday, October 19th at 2pm at South Park Mennonite Brethren Church, Altona with burial at Altona Cemetery. 

On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, Gordon Richard Cooke passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a difficult battle with Multi System Atrophy (MSA). 

Predeceased by his parents, Gordon is survived by his wife, Liana; their three children; as well as many extended family members and friends.  An avid lover of sports, specifically the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, we are sure he is up there watching them play and cheering them on. 

The family of Timothy James Stewart is sad to announce his passing on Saturday October 12, 2024, at the age of 63. Timothy was born on March 7, 1961, to Ann Marie and Raymond Stewart in Belcarres, SK. He will be missed by family and friends. There will be no formal funeral service. Timothy will be interred in the family plot in Kennedy, SK. Memorial donations in Timothy’s may be made to Saskatchewan Cancer Society 200-4545 Parliament Ave. Regina, SK Canada S4W 0G3.  

Valerie Merrick of Moose Jaw passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 86. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 12:00 noon. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. A reception will follow at W. J. Jones & Son reception centre at 474 Hochelaga St W., Moose Jaw, SK. In living memory of Valerie, a memorial planting was made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd.
