With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Andrea Riviere, on September 23, 2024 at the age of 99 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church, Radville, SK with celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi. Interment will be held at Laurier Cemetery, Radville, SK with luncheon following at the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church, Radville, SK.

Jacobs, Winston

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winston Jacobs on Sept 21, 2024. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife Iris and his children Sherry (Shay), Rose (Kevin), Michael (Corlene), his grandchildren Tyler (Jess), Greg, Toni (Michael), Alex (Denzel), Rhett, Kylan and Colton, his great grandchildren Tatum, Kash, Kane, Cecilia, and Maverick. As well as numerous family members. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Theresa Jacobs, in-laws Richard and Glady Tranter, brothers James and John and his grandson Wyatt.

Maxine Elizabeth Curts

Maxine Elizabeth Curts (Gamracy) (nee Butler)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Maxine Elizabeth Curts (Gamracy) (nee Butler) announces her passing on 20 September 2024, two days before her 95 Birthday.

Born to parents Edward and Marie Butler in 1929, on a farm near Loreburn, Sask, Maxine was the fourth in a family of thirteen children. After struggling to make a living on the farm the family moved to Moose Jaw where Maxine got her first paying job working for Moose Jaw Woolen Mills.

Allen, Blaine Dennis

Blaine Dennis Allen, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 84 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with interment at Goodwater Cemetery, Goodwater, SK. Grace Ruth Fuhr

GRACE RUTH FUHR

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Fuhr on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Foyer D’Youville, Gravelbourg, SK at the age of 101 years.

Ruth was born to Grace and Robert Freeborn in Medicine Hat, Alberta on December 16, 1922, one of nine children.  Ruth moved with her family to Saskatchewan when just an infant and raised in the Simmie/Swift Current area.               

Sheldon Philip Hiltz


Sheldon Philip Hiltz died Saturday, September 21st while holding his wife’s hand.


Sheldon was born in 1947 in Prince Abert, Saskatchewan. He was raised in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, which became the backdrop for many of Sheldon’s stories. An avid storyteller, Sheldon, then dad, then Papa, regaled his loved ones (and in fact anyone who would lend an ear) with stories of his time in the north and his travels around the world. He loved to talk about the people he met and the experiences he had - all of which shaped the person he was.

Justine Heinrichs nee Klassen, 47, of Plum Coulee passed away Saturday, September 21st at Boundary Trails Health Centre. She is survived by her husband Jake, 2 daughters, and her mother Margaret Klassen. She was predeceased by her father Herman Klassen and 1 son in infancy. 
The funeral service for Justine Heinrichs nee Klassen will be held Wednesday, September 25th at 2pm at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with private burial prior to the service at Westridge Memorial Gardens.
