PAULS

Donna Marie Pauls (née: Semenchuk) aged 79 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9th, 2024.  Donna was born February 5th, 1945, in Moose Jaw, SK and was the youngest of five children.  She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Semenchuk; sisters, Dorothy Paysen and Paddy Koritnik; and children, Raymond Pauls and Jeff Vervalcke.  Donna is survived by her sisters, Jean Muir and Judy Wasylyshyn; children, Janet Pauls and Chris Pauls; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Barry QUON

November 6th, 1928 – July 20th, 2024

A life of giving and sacrifice…a life well lived. 

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Barry Quon at Providence Healthcare in Toronto, ON, with family by his side, on Saturday, July 20th, 2024.

MILLER

Arnold ‘Arnie’ Miller went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 18th, 2024.  He was predeceased by his father and mother, Melville and Mary Miller; brother, Gerald Miller; and infant son, Michael Miller.  Arnie is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Miller; children: Dean (Alana) Miller, Melanie (Shawn) Baker, and Evan (Abigail) Miller; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly; siblings, Janice (Ron) Appleyard and Gloria Rosbrook; and sister-in-law, Judy Miller. 

It is with heartfelt sadness the family of Lena "Helen" Manthey announce her passing on August 22, 2024, at the age of 94 at The Meadows, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. A time of viewing will take place at the Rosenhof Cemetery on Monday August 26, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the graveside service which will be held at 2:00 PM from the Rosenhof Somerfeld Cemetery, in Rosenhof, Saskatchewan, with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Canadian National Institute of the Blind.

Gaenel Roland Blackmore, late of Ceylon, SK passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024 at the age of 88 years.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Ceylon United Church, Ceylon, SK with Judy Beck officiating. Luncheon will be at the Prairie Pride Community Centre, Ceylon, SK and interment will be held at Ceylon, Cemetery, Ceylon, SK.

For family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Gaenel may be made to the Ceylon United Church, Ceylon, SK, S0C 0T0.

Eva Donalda Maas, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 81 years.

Prayers will be on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK with celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi. An interment for Joseph and Eva will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. SK. Luncheon will be at Lower McKenna Hall, 317 ~ 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK.

Jacob Wiens, 86, of Steinbach formerly of Grunthal and the Pansy area, passed away Wednesday, August 21st at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. He is survived by his wife Nettie, 3 daughters, 6 sons, 1 sister, 1 brother and their families.He was predeceased by his first wife Justina, his second wife Anna, 1 daughter, 4 sons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great-grandson. 
The funeral service for Jacob Wiens will be held Monday, August 26th at 2pm at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Corrine Sawatzky nee Driedger, 60, of Altona passed away Wednesday, August 21st at Boundary Trails Health Centre. She is survived by her husband Cliff, 2 daughters, 2 sons, her parents Bill and Dora Driedger, 1 sister, 2 brothers, and their families. She was predeceased by 2 grandchildren.  

Peacefully, on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at 4:44 a.m. Bounkham Wong passed away with his loving wife Yong by his side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 79 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Yong, sons Phonsay (Sirimath), Saksay (Joy), Somboun, Kitti, and daughter Davivan, grandchildren Chris, Justin and Selinya, as well as numerous relatives and friends in Laos, France and Canada.
