It is with profound sadness that the family of Mary Luyten announces her peaceful passing at the Redvers Centennial Haven, Redvers, Sask. on May 17, 2025, aged 94.

Wallace Dean Seida

October 14, 1951 – May 17, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wally Seida. On Saturday May 17th, 2025. Wally passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife Norine and their daughters. His departure was marked by the same love and strength that defined his life.

BENSON

It is with deepest sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lyle Alvin Benson on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025.  Lyle was born to Violet and Ervin Benson on July 16th, 1945, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. 

Tom Shelly

Thomas William Shelly of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the age of 72. Tom was born at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina, SK on July 20, 1952. Tom was a quiet and deeply intelligent man. He attended school in Willow Bunch and began farming in the mid-1960s. He took great pride in working with his polled Hereford cattle, which like him, were very quiet by nature.

IRENE RUDEEN (née: Buck)

1932 - 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Rudeen on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at the age of 92 years. 

Ione Joyce Ernst, late of Moose Jaw, SK (formerly of Weyburn, SK) passed away on May 18, 2025 at the age of 83 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Hazel Eddy; step-father, Ivan Churchill; her husband, Herb Ernst; her grandson, Dane Ernst; sister, Myrna Oxelgren; nieces, Doreen Shorthouse and Shannon Mack; nephew, Caleb Bush; sister-in-law, Margaret Fuhro; brother-in-laws, Al Lacell, William Shorthouse, Albert Ernst, Ed Fuhro and Dennis Hone.

Funeral Date: May 23, 2025 
Helen Reddekop, 87, of Steinbach passed away Monday, May 19th at Bethesda Place. She is survived by her husband Gerald, 3 daughters, 1 son, and their families.  
The funeral service for Helen Reddekop will be held Friday, May 23rd at 5pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Heritage Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service.  
Donations may be made to Southern Health Bethesda Place.

John B. Sawatzky, 87, of Winnipeg passed away Sunday, May 18th at his home. He is survived by his wife Sara, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 3 sisters, 5 brothers and their families. He was predeceased by 2 sisters. 
A memorial service for John B. Sawatzky will be held Friday, May 23rd at 11am at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue.

Helena Wiebe nee Loewen, 60, of Winkler passed away Sunday, May 18th at Boundary Trails Health Centre. She is survived by her husband Peter, 4 daughters, 1 son, and their families.  
The funeral service for Helena Wiebe nee Loewen will be held Friday, May 23rd at 2pm at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with burial at Rosenbach Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler Thursday, May 22nd from 1 to 6pm and at the church prior to the service.
