Twelve Years Strong: LumberZone Builds on Community Commitment

It’s been 12 years since three couples from Steinbach first opened the doors of The LumberZone, and what started as a dream scribbled into a business plan has grown into one of Manitoba’s most respected building supply companies. FSG Outdoor Show to spotlight local hunting and fishing culture

The first ever FSG Outdoor Show will be taking place on Saturday, May 17th at Friedensfeld Community Hall from 9am until 4pm.

Trevor Fehr is the owner and operator of Fehr’s Sporting Goods (FSG) in Steinbach. He says the idea for the show came to him because many members of his family own businesses in other provinces, and have been putting together shows for several years. He realized there was a gap in the market here in Southeast Manitoba.

Smooth skin for summer? It’s Sugarology!

Kaleigh Kocian is on a mission to make body sugaring accessible for women in the Southeast. And just in time for the approaching summer season, she’s added laser hair removal to her arsenal.

Kocian first fell in love with body sugaring as a Winnipeg resident, for many reasons.

“Sugaring is really an art – but there is science behind it, with the removal of the hair from the root,” she explains. “It’s a 100% natural hair removal method that results in thinner hair regrowth, and in my experience, actually boosts your confidence – even when your hair grows back.”

People, not numbers, served at customer-focused Pharmasave

If it feels somewhat different to walk through the doors of Steinbach’s Pharmasave, it might be because so many faces are familiar. Or because the staff’s positive demeanor is a top-down dynamic. Or because a customer-first approach ensures each client is treated like a person, and not a number.

Or, maybe it’s a bit of everything.
