Another busy weekend in August is coming up and we are excited to be all over the southeast! 

Marchand Logging Days – August 24 – 25 

Another fun weekend in Marchand with gates opening at 7 am on Saturday and the pancake breakfast at 9 am followed by the baseball tournament. The afternoon is filled with fun as they have their annual mud bog hosted by Mud Mafia. 

Marchand hosted their 3rd annual Smokin’ Summer Charity Ribb-Off today and 14 amazing contestants put out their best ribs to be judged.  

Many brought out family and friends to help prepare for the day and some teams began cooking at 7:30am to have the ribs smoked to perfection by 5:30pm. 

Tickets for the rib dinner sold out and everyone enjoyed the delicious meal with friends and family. 

Yesterday kicked off the beginning of the weekend Grunthal and surrounding area has been waiting for all summer!  

Hanover Ag Fair started off with bull riding and although the weather wasn’t the greatest, everyone still made the best of the evening. 

Tonight was the second night of the Bull Rider’s Canada Invitational, and it turned out to be a beautiful evening to be outdoors. 

The weekend is coming up quickly and as you plan what you might do, check out these events going on in the southeast! 

Hanover Ag - August 15 – 18 

Hanover Ag presents their annual Fair this weekend starting this evening. Grounds will open at 6pm rain or shine, followed by opening ceremonies for the Hanover Ag’s Bull Riders Invitational and ‘Party in the Dirt’ at 10pm.

Frog Follies celebrated 54 years of jumping frogs this weekend, and it was one for the books! 

They had lots going on including kid's activities, wrestling, food, a market, and of course, frog jumping.

A busy weekend for Richer as they celebrate 10 years of the Richer Rough Stock Rodeo. 

The weekend is jam-packed with fun activities the whole family can enjoy including Gymkhana, petting zoo, face painting, live entertainment, bull riding, family fun zone, and so much more.  

The day kicked off with a pancake breakfast followed by an incredible parade! There were lots of floats and many excited children.

In the last round, we wanted to see photos of you and your summer project for a chance to win a Stihl GTA26 pruning saw from The Rental House!  Congratulations to Lisa who shared this photo their summer project that involves removing old lattice from their deck railing, followed by staining the deck. 

From frog jumping to bull riding, this weekend will be an interesting one.  

Frog finding begins this evening to kick off the St-Pierre-Jolys Frog Follies and Agricultural Fair and the event will go on all weekend long.  

On Friday, exhibits open for the agricultural fair at 6pm, and awards will be handed out later that evening. The comedy show begins at 7:30pm followed by a fire show once it gets dark.
