Fort St John RCMP investigating graffiti as a potential hate crime
On February 16, 2025 at 4:26pm, the Fort St John RCMP received a mischief report at the Treaty 8 Tribal Association building on the 10200 block of 100th Avenue in Fort St John. Two swastika’s and a derogatory message was spray painted onto an exterior wall of the building sometime in the overnight hours.
Phil Wickham releases new song for the Church
Award-winning singer-songwriter Phil Wickham has released a new track written with the Church in mind.

Canada triumphs over US in intense 4 Nations Face-Off final with tensions high
Canada defeated its archrival the United States 3-2 in overtime in the 4 Nations Face-Off final on Thursday night in what was an emotionally-charged affair for players and fans alike.
The rematch between the two sides was intense, although it did not consist of three fights in the opening nine seconds, as the preliminary round game in Montreal did last Saturday, a 3-1 win for the Americans.
Connor McDavid scored the game winner, while Nathan MacKinnon and Sam Bennett scored in regulation for Canada. Brady Tkachuk and Jake Sanderson replied for the U.S.
70% of Canadians support retaliatory tariffs on United States: poll
Seventy per cent of Canadians are in favour of dollar-for-dollar retaliatory tariffs on the United States, a new poll suggests.
Nearly half of respondents to the Leger poll — 45 per cent — said they were strongly in favour of such tariffs, while 25 per cent said they were somewhat in favour.
U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged to impose steep tariffs on imports from Canada and other countries.
'Grains of Saskatchewan': A new hands-on learning experience
Last month, Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC-SK) unveiled a brand-new ‘Grains of Saskatchewan’ interactive display. A new interactive display that will allow a more hands-on learning experience surrounding agriculture and crops grown in Saskatchewan. Sara Shymko, executive director with Agriculture in the Classroom, explains how hands-on learning can benefit when teaching about agriculture.

Hebrews 11:9
In the book of Hebrews, Abraham is praised for believing God’s promises.
God called Abraham to move to a place where he didn’t know a soul. He had no permanent place to live, no community to rely upon for support, and no one to call in times of trouble. When he left Ur, he left the security of a permanent place of residence. He was able to live apart from established and secure human communities only because he “was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations” (Hebrews 11:10).

5 people arrested after multiple reports involving firearms and a stolen vehicle
On February 19 at 7:37am, Fort St John RCMP received a report that a pickup truck had been stolen from a residential driveway on the 9800 block of 112 Avenue, Fort St John.
Later that same day, between 7:40pm and 8:53pm, two reports were received after the stolen truck was located by civilians, stuck in the area of 277 Road near Montney, BC. Numerous suspects were reported to be with the stolen pickup along with other vehicles.
Reports also included that the multiple suspects had pointed firearms at the civilians who had located them.
Highway 97 reopened after four vehicle collision
On February 20, 2024 at 7:58am, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a 3 vehicle motor vehicle collision in the area of Shepherd’s Inn on the Alaska Highway 97, with vehicles blocking the highway.
Fort St John RCMP frontline police officers attended, along with Fort St John Fire Services and BC Ambulance Services.
