UPDATE: GP RCMP responding to collision on Hwy 40
Update: Grande Prairie RCMP would like to advise the public that both lanes of traffic are now open on Highway 40. Road conditions continue to be described as slippery. Drivers are asked to continue to exercise caution and practice safe winter driving habits.
Grande Prairie RCMP are responding to a collision involving a logging truck and a sanding vehicle on Highway 40, between the Canfor Road and the Cutbank River.
Minor injuries were reported and emergency services remain on scene.

Terrian announces departure from TobyMac and Diverse City
After almost a decade of touring and being a part of TobyMac and Diverse City, Terrian is moving on.
"Last night, I played my very last show as part of TobyMac and Diverse City," said Terrian in a post on Instagram. "Though I'm sad, I'm immensely grateful."

The popular show will hit theatres in the weeks leading into Easter, with the first two episodes of The Chosen: Last Supper released on March 27, 2025.

Business and political leaders in Canada say there will be pain if Donald Trump follows through on his pledge to impose a 25 per cent tariff on all Canadian goods, but they note the hurt will happen in his country as well.
The president-elect posted to Truth Social on Monday he will sign an executive order imposing a 25 per cent tariff on all products coming in to the United States from Canada and Mexico.
He said the tariff will remain in place until both countries stop drugs, in particular fentanyl, and people from illegally crossing the borders.
2024 Canadian wheat crop report highlights strong year for prairie farmers
Western Canadian wheat farmers have reason to be optimistic as the 2024 New Wheat Crop Report reveals a resilient and high-quality harvest despite challenges.
According to Leif Carlson, Director of Market Intelligence and Trade Policy with Cereals Canada, this year's wheat production reached 34.3 million metric tons, four percent larger than last year and eight percent larger than average. This was thanks to above-average yields for both non-durum wheat and durum wheat. Durum wheat production was a standout, surging to six million tons.
