In northern Brazil, Scripture is beginning to be shared in a language that millions of people speak. Ed Weaver with Spoken Worldwide says these language speakers are often overlooked and humiliated by others in their country. They are marginalized, underserved, and lacking the Word of God.

An oral Bible translation team recently visited a remote village of the people group. They wanted to learn about village life and meet some of the local people.

Ecclesiastes 8:17

Hours after the Alberta Emergency Alert system was triggered due to The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) declaring a grid alert, the alert ended at 8:40 p.m.

Psalm 37:3

If you wish to be a man or woman of God who desires to live a godly life that will leave its mark upon this world, you must stand in the shadow of your Saviour. 

Trust Him to work through the trials you encounter, through the extreme circumstances you cannot handle on your own. He is still the God of impossible situations. He does what no earthly individual can do.

At of 8:40PM on Saturday, January 13th, the grid alert ended. Due to continuing cold temperatures, Albertans are being asked to reduce their usage during peak hours from 4PM to 7PM.

At 6:44 pm Saturday, January 13th, The Alberta Emergency Management Agency issued a critical civil Emergency.

Extreme cold resulting in high power demand has placed the Alberta grid at a high risk of rotating power outages this evening.

Canadian Armed Forces members provided planning support for the U.S.-led attack on Houthi positions in Yemen, but the Defence Department said Friday that no Canadian assets were involved. 

The U.S. said they and the U.K. attacked more than 60 targets at 16 sites used by the Iran-backed group in Yemen on Thursday to demonstrate that the allies will not tolerate the group’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
