Steinbach woman continues recovery as support pours in from overseas

Support continues to pour in for Steinbach’s Tasha Wiese, as the local woman recovers from multiple amputations and a life-threatening illness. Among those rallying behind her are Keith and Talia Comer, former Christian musicians now living as missionaries in England, who remember Wiese as one of their most devoted fans.

Police offer update following an alleged hit and run

Thursday night, the Moose Jaw Police Service provided the following update related to an alleged hit and run that was reported Tuesday night.

“On April 15, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a hit-and-run involving a 12-year-old youth at the intersection of Caribou Street West and 6th Avenue Northwest. The youth was transported to the hospital by EMS and was treated for minor injuries.

Advance voting is this weekend, here's what you need to know

Advance polls for the 2025 federal election are open this weekend.

It's a handy way for people to vote if they're unable to do so on election day (April 28), or if they're simply eager to cast their ballot.

There are a few factors to keep in mind, though.

When you can vote

Advance polling stations are open from April 18-21 between 9 a.m. to  9 p.m.

According to Elections Canada, the peak voting time on advance polling days is from 10 a.m. to noon, with the lowest volume typically being in the early morning or after 4 p.m.

City of Swift Current awarded for Plewis Automotive Group Inclusive Park

The City of Swift Current has been recognized for its exceptional efforts in the design and construction of the Plewis Automotive Group Inclusive Park. 

Presented with the Saskatchewan Municipal Award for the Top Urban Municipal Initiative, the Inclusive Park was recognized for its incorporation of the seven universal principles of play and its truly inclusive design.

Nicole Spenst, general manager of community services for the City of Swift Current, was honoured along with the rest of the City by the award.

Fusion announces $1.26M member returns through patronage and cash Pay-outs
