Update: Sinkhole creating problems for travellers near Banff
A seven-metre long and two-metre wide sinkhole that formed on the TransCanada Highway 1 caused detours on Thursday.
The sinkhole is in the eastbound lanes between the Norquay Road Exit and the exit at Compound Road to the Banff Industrial District. However, according to Banff National Park officials, as of Thursday evening, Highway 1 is now re-opened to eastbound traffic, however, travellers should still expect some delays.
Update: Multi-vehicle collision near Yankee Valley Boulevard
A multi-vehicle collision that occurred earlier on Tuesday morning has been cleared.
Motorists reported a multi-vehicle collision in the vicinity of Big Hill and Yankee Valley Boulevard heading westbound.
Motorists reportedly witnessed a truck colliding with the back of what appears to be a dump truck. The dump truck reportedly rolled into the ditch, though there was no word on injuries.
Update: Early morning collision near Balzac
An early morning collision travelling Northbound on the QEII near Highway 566 in the vicinity of Balzac has been cleared.
Traffic flow has returned to normal, though there may be residual delays in the area.
Lane and shoulder closures to last for two weeks on QEII
Beginning on Monday, August 14 and lasting for two weeks until Monday, August 28, there will be several lane and shoulder closures on the QEII in both directions.
To support sign structure installation and drilling:
- The median shoulder travelling southbound and northbound will be closed beginning today at 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

More road closures slated for this week
Starting today, August 8 and lasting till Saturday, August 12, East Lake Boulevard will be closed between East Lake Crescent and East Lake Road. Detours will be in place.
According to the City, the closure is needed for deep utility servicing. However, access to businesses will be maintained.

Update: Collision Southbound on Deerfoot Trail
The collision has been cleared.
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, a vehicle collision Southbound on Deerfoot Trail near 64 Avenue Northeast was blocking the right-hand lane. Motorists reported that there was heavy traffic in the area.
There was no word on injuries.

Main Street lane closures to last two weeks
Beginning today, July 27 and lasting for two weeks until August 10, Main Street within the vicinity of the 40th Avenue overpass will experience Northbound and Southbound double-lane closures to accommodate underground stormwater works.
"[Construction] crews will be on site early approx[imately] 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. Motorists can expect the closure to be in place around this time, by 8:00 a.m. at the latest," The City stated.
According to the City, the closure will be around the clock, however, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.
Update: Motorcyclist dead in fatal collision East of Didsbury
Highway 582 between Range Road 271 and 272, approximately 30 kilometres east of Didsbury, has been fully re-opened after it was shut down for several hours due to a fatal collision.
According to police, at noon on Saturday, Didsbury RCMP responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a holiday trailer on Highway 582.
The male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on the scene, while a youth passenger has been transported to an area hospital by STARS air ambulance.
Portion of Kingsview Boulevard to be shut down
Beginning today, Friday, July 21, southbound traffic on Kingsview Boulevard S.E. will be reduced to single-lane, two-way traffic for a month. Detours will be in place.
Update: Vehicle collision reported North of Airdrie
On Thursday afternoon, there were reports of a vehicle collision north of Airdrie, travelling Southbound on the QEII, near Township Road 310, just before the Carstairs overpass.
Motorists reported heavy traffic delays in the area. Though the collision has been since cleared, there may be residual delays in the area.
There was no information on whether injuries were reported.
