Tons of spooky fun this Halloween-themed weekend at OMRP
This weekend, Oungre Memorial Regional Park (OMRP) roughly 35 minutes south of Weyburn on Highway 35 will be full of activity as their hosting their annual Halloween in the Park, their Halloween-themed four-person Adult Golf Tournament, and a two-person Youth Golf Tournament.
The Halloween in the Park will take place later on tonight running from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Trick or treaters will dress up in their favourite costumes and head around the park, trying to fill up their bucket or even a pillowcase.

In Canada, there are currently over 1000 people waiting for a stem cell match. This is why Canadian Blood Services is urging Canadians to add their name to the Stem Cell registry, as it increases those individuals chance of finding a match.
Aaron Barlow, Community Development Manager for Canadian Blood Services Saskatchewan, explains they're looking for people ages 17 to 35 to join the registry, especially those with diverse ethnic backgrounds.

The forecast calls for a system beginning this weekend, which could keep the rain falling into next week.
Fundraising efforts continue for Weyburn Golf Club
Golfers are taking advantage of the lush green at the Weyburn Golf Club thanks to steady rain this season.
"The course is in wonderful shape. Mother Nature has been unbelievably kind to us and been keeping our grounds crew extremely busy having to cut grass," said General Manager Krystle Fedoretz.
She said they have high numbers in each of their leagues this year as well.
Wildfires in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia have residents on high alert
Thousands are out of their homes, and many more are on alert to evacuate as wildfires continue to rage across Atlantic Canada.
Officials in Newfoundland and Labrador have expanded an evacuation alert along the Bay De Verde Peninsula as the Kingston wildfire burns nearby.
The community of Job's Cove in Newfoundland is affected by the expanded evacuation alert for the wildfire, which is considered out-of-control and is now more than 90 square kilometres in size.
The Kingston fire is the largest in the province and has forced more than 3,000 people from their homes.
Conservatives plan national campaign against federal electric vehicle mandates
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has set his sights on Canada's electric vehicle mandate, pledging Thursday that his party will embark on a national campaign to push the Liberal government to scrap the policy he's dubbed the "Carney tax."
Poilievre led the charge as the Conservatives relentlessly attacked the consumer carbon price over the last two years, with the Liberals admitting the Tory tactics swayed public opinion and forced them to end the so-called carbon tax earlier this year.
'It was totally awesome' Taste of Summer Charity Barbeque benefits Weyburn Humane Society
Todays Great Plains Taste of Summer Charity barbeque saw a steady flow of visitors, showing up to support The Weyburn Humane Society. Community members purchased a hotdog, chips, and a drink for only $3, with some people stopping by just to donate. In total, $764.35 was raised for the organization.
Board Chair with the Weyburn Humane Society, Bev Paul, says she wasn't prepared for the strong turnout.
"It was just totally awesome. I didn't really expect the turnout that was here and it's such a good idea. I hope you keep doing it."
