Justin Trudeau congratulates Donald Trump on his U.S. presidential win

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is extending congratulations to Donald Trump on his re-election as president of the United States. 

Trump staged a major political comeback, securing the necessary 270 electoral college votes to win the presidency in the early hours of Wednesday morning. 

This concludes a turbulent campaign for Trump, which included being convicted of 34 felonies in a hush-money case and two assassination attempts. 

Bird e-scooters ridden enough in Airdrie to travel around the world twice

All of Airdrie's public e-scooters are now in hibernation as the other provider in Airdrie, Bird Canada has announced they have taken their e-scooters off of Airdrie streets with winter approaching.

Vice-President Kamala Harris did not appear at her election night party at her alma mater Howard University in Washington.

Airdrie council makes decision on automated black cart program: Mark your calendars for 2026

Airdrie City Council voted four to three this afternoon to introduce an automated black cart garbage collection program, marking what the City describes as a significant step toward modernizing waste management services.

The black carts are set to roll out citywide in 2026.
