They played all their "Greatest Hits of All Time" and had some fun doing it.
The 80s Club, featuring Spoons, Men Without Hats, A Flock of Seagulls and Honeymoon Suite took to the stage at the Moose Jaw Events Centre for their 5th show in 5 nights. I wondered if some of these aging rock stars could "bring it". They did and they left it all on the stage.
I loved watching Sandy Horne of Spoons. She plays bass and delivers backing vocals. She's 63 years old. She's been with Spoons since 1979 - 45 years. She was awesome.
Winter wonderland in Midale: Snow falls just in time for Annual Santa Parade
Snow fell right on time for Midale's Annual Santa Parade presented by the Midale Plus One Club. Close to 20 floats passed by Main Street, lined with people taking in the festive displays. It was announced that candy would not be handed out due to the slushy conditions, however many floats still tossed candy to the onlookers.
The parade was followed by a hot dog lunch and photos with Santa.

No more construction for Santa as parade of lights finds its way home
Over the weekend more and more holiday decorations started to appear and in Winnipeg, the annual Santa Claus Parade was held with thousands in attendance.
For Portage la Prairie, the beloved Rotary Santa Parade of Lights is still a few weeks off (Friday, December 6th) but anticipation is starting to build. After several years of rerouted parades due to construction, this year’s event will return to its more traditional route down most of Saskatchewan Avenue, and organizers couldn’t be more excited.

With the holidays just around the corner, the spirit of giving is alive and well in southeast Saskatchewan. A brand-new online auction raising funds for Teddy Bears Anonymous is set to take place in December, but donations for this online auction are only accepted until the end of this month.

Zero Waste and Reuse kicks off CEAC speaker series
A small expo is accompanying the resumption of the Cochrane Environmental Action Committee's (CEAC) speaker series on Nov. 30.
CEAC president Tim Giese says The Refillery, Cochrane Public Library, Helping Hands and possibly more will be at the morning session.
Carla Bitz, the Town of Banff's environmental coordinator will be providing insight into zero waste and reuse strategies we can incorporate into our lives.
Giese says it will be an interactive presentation.

New graphic novel explores Mennonite-First Nations secret treaty
A new graphic novel titled “The Secret Treaty: A Lost Story of Ojibwe and Mennonite Neighbours”, which explores an oral treaty between Mennonites and First Nations peoples in Manitoba’s West Reserve, will be launched at a special reading at the Mennonite Heritage Village Museum (MHV) in Steinbach, on Sunday, November 17 at 2pm.
