It's the final day for the DiscoverWeyburn Online Auction! 

Yes, you read that right. Items will begin closing this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and by 4:08 p.m. the entire auction will be closed. 

The clock is ticking - later today, the deals on the DiscoverEstevan Online Auction will evaporate. Hundreds of items are up for grabs with massive discounts on items from local retailers. Some items don't have bids on them yet, so you could be walking away with some AMAZING DEALS!

When Jeffery Straker steps onto the stage at the Coal Creek Festival on August 23, he’ll be doing something he’s never done before: performing beside the iconic Roche Percee Rocks.

It’s a fitting milestone for an artist whose music is steeped in the stories and landscapes of the prairies. The Saskatchewan-born singer-songwriter pianist has built a career on weaving everyday moments into song, drawing comparisons to the likes of Kris Kristofferson and Jackson Browne. His most recent album, Great Big Sky, earned him a Canadian Folk Music Award earlier this year.

The Taste of Summer Charity BBQ presented by Fountain Tire returns today! And this week, all the money raised will be donated to the Square One Community Inc.!

Lunch is only $5 and includes a hot dog or hamburger from Fellinger & Sons Meats, with chips and water.

The BBQ runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our office, 1704 Main Street North.

Fall is right around the corner, and the signs are out there. Single digit overnight lows, pumpkin spice flavoring everything, and the sight of big machines roaming fields remind us that fall is here. 

It’s garden harvest time in the Southeast, and while many plants have been doing very well this season, something strange has been going on with the tomatoes. Many gardeners have noticed their vines and branches growing tall and lush, while the tomatoes themselves, though normal to large in size, have stayed green.
